01The problem

Where quotes go quiet

This isn't a discipline problem. It's what a week looks like when the floor comes first.

A quiet quote wasn't a no. The customer was busy. They went with whoever got back to them. You already priced the job and sent the number. That quote sits until someone follows up. But you didn't open a shop to become a salesman. The shop comes first.

How the week actually goesShop whiteboard

Tue

Quote goes out. Numbers are good.

Wed

A machine goes down. The floor comes first.

Thu

A customer pulls a delivery in. The stack grows.

Fri

You're covering on the floor. Follow-up waits.

11 days later

Still quiet. Following up now feels like it needs an explanation.

02The system

Every open quote, on one board

The process

Every quote lands in New and moves across the board as the Day 3, 7 and 14 touches go out. When a buyer replies, the card jumps to Engaged and the sequence stops. That's the only time you touch it.

Hi Dave,

Still holding the number on the 6061 bracket, 250 pieces. If you're comparing, I can sharpen the lead time.

Worth another look?

Day 3 and Day 14 go out the same way. Every touch written in your voice, reviewed with you before anything sends.

Notes

01

Who is this for?

Shops that quote work. If a customer sends you a print and asks what it costs, this is built for you. Typically 10 to 50 people, quoting anywhere from a handful of RFQs a week to fifty a month. Machining, fabrication, or both.

02

Most of our RFQs come by email. Does that work?

Yes. At onboarding you add one auto-forward rule (about five minutes, once). Every emailed RFQ copies to us. We enter it by the next business morning. You don't touch intake again.

03

Do I have to learn another system?

No. Quotes are picked up as they go out. Nothing to log, nothing to remember. There's one simple portal if you ever want to check where things stand. No software to download, no CRM to run. We handle the follow-up, and replies land in your inbox with the part and the quote.

04

Do you replace our estimator?

No. We work after the quote is out. Stages on open quotes, and follow up on what's open.

05

What happens after I request a call?

You fill a short form. We reach out to schedule a short call (about fifteen minutes) and walk how quotes run today. If it isn't a fit, we say so.

06

What about ITAR or restricted work?

We never need drawings, prints, or technical data. We work from the quote record: customer, part reference, quantity, date sent. If your shop has specific access requirements, we scope them before anything is built.

07

I've got a year's worth of dead quotes. Can you work those?

That's what the reactivation pilot is for. Send us the list however you have it. We clean it up and spend 30 days working every buyer on that list, in your voice. There's no fee unless a job actually comes back. Ask about it on the call.
